Jawa has completed its All Stars range with the launch of the Jawa 42 All Stars Edition, priced from Rs 1,84,942, ex-showroom, rising to Rs 1.90 lakh for the top Black colourway. Bookings are open now, with deliveries scheduled to begin September 14, 2026.
This launch closes out a three-part rollout for Classic Legends: the 42 FJ All Stars arrived first, followed by the 42 Bobber All Stars, and now the standard Jawa 42 completes the trio.
More Than a Colour Refresh
Jawa is positioning this as a genuine update rather than a cosmetic special edition, claiming more than 60 individual enhancements across the motorcycle. The changes are visible immediately: shorter front and rear fenders, redesigned side panels with new graphics, a domed headlight lens without the previous grille treatment, and a slimmer, redesigned bench seat with reworked foam for long-distance comfort.
The rear end gets the most noticeable transformation — a wider 150/70-17 rear tyre paired with a 100/90-18 front, both wrapped around new-design alloy wheels, giving the bike a considerably more muscular stance than the outgoing model. Twin exhausts remain, now upswept for a sportier profile and, according to Jawa, improved water-wading capability.
Lighter, Slightly Taller, Mechanically Familiar
Despite the visual overhaul, Jawa has actually reduced kerb weight to 175kg from 182kg — a genuine achievement given the added bodywork and wider tyres typically push weight up, not down. Seat height rises marginally to 795mm, up 7mm from the standard bike.
Mechanically, little has changed. The same 294.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine — badged J-Panther — continues to produce 27-27.3PS and 26-26.3Nm (figures vary slightly by source), paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension remains a telescopic fork with twin gas-charged rear shocks, and braking duties stay with a 280mm front disc and 240mm rear disc, dual-channel ABS standard throughout. The 13.2-litre fuel tank also carries over unchanged.
Five Colours, One Familiar Option Remains
Buyers get five All Stars colourways to choose from: All Stars Ivory, All Stars Moss Grey, All Stars Battle Green, All Stars Nebula Blue, and All Stars Black — the last carrying the Rs 5,000 premium over the Rs 1.85 lakh starting price. The standard non-All Stars Jawa 42, in its familiar black-and-ivory dual-tone scheme, continues to be sold alongside this update at Rs 1.80 lakh, giving buyers a genuine choice between the refreshed styling and the original look.
Where It Fits Competitively
The Jawa 42 All Stars goes up directly against the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Meteor 350, and Classic 350 — a segment Royal Enfield has dominated for years, commanding over 83% market share as we've covered in earlier reporting. Jawa's pitch here rests on its sportier positioning: lighter weight, a higher-revving engine character, and now a genuinely distinctive design language that sets it apart from Royal Enfield's more traditional retro styling.
Classic Legends backs the motorcycle with a 4-year/50,000km standard warranty, extendable to six years, along with roadside assistance for up to eight years — coverage terms that stack up competitively against rivals in this price bracket.
Why Completing This Range Matters
With all three All Stars variants now on sale — 42 FJ, 42 Bobber, and standard 42 — Jawa has given its entire model lineup a consistent, refreshed design language in one coordinated push rather than staggering updates across separate, disconnected launches. Whether the claimed 60-plus enhancements translate into meaningfully better ride quality and ownership satisfaction will likely determine if Jawa can convert its sportier positioning into genuine share gains against a segment Royal Enfield has held onto for a long time.
