2027 TVS Raider 125 Adds Traction Control

TVS Motor has updated the Raider 125 for the 2027 model year. The changes apply to the top variants and add switchable traction control, a wider rear tyre, an emergency brake warning and a faster USB Type-C charging port. TVS says it is the first motorcycle in the 125cc segment to offer traction control.

Price

The ex-showroom prices reported are:

  1. Raider SXC DD: Rs 1,00,330
  2. Raider TFT DD (top variant): about Rs 1.03 lakh. Two reports give slightly different figures, Rs 1,03,170 and Rs 1,03,330, so confirm the exact number with your dealer.

Old prices were not available in the reports, so we cannot say how much they changed. One report calls it a slight price revision.

What Is New

  1. Traction control: a switchable system that limits rear-wheel spin on loose or slippery surfaces.
  2. Rear tyre: a 120-section unit, up from 110-section. The rear disc is also larger and conventional in place of the earlier petal disc, according to one report.
  3. Emergency brake warning: the hazard lights switch on during sudden, hard braking to alert vehicles behind.
  4. Charging: a 27W USB Type-C fast-charging port in place of the 12W USB-A port.

What Stays the Same

There are no mechanical changes. The engine is a 124.8cc air- and oil-cooled single making about 11.2hp and 11.75Nm, with a five-speed gearbox and TVS's iGO Assist system. The TFT cluster with connected features, LED lighting, riding modes and styling carry over. The turn indicators remain halogen.

Why It Matters

Traction control is a safety feature usually found on larger motorcycles, so TVS is using it to separate the Raider from other 125cc bikes at around Rs 1 lakh. The update only reaches the two top variants, so check the variant before you book. See the line-up on TVS Motor's website.
