Suzuki has launched a Special Edition of the Hayabusa in India, priced at Rs 19.90 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Alongside it, the standard motorcycle has also been updated, now starting at Rs 18.99 lakh. The Special Edition carries a Rs 91,000 premium over the standard bike.
What The Special Edition Actually Adds
The Special Edition is offered in a single, exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue paint scheme, paired with special decals and a distinctive wheel finish. Suzuki has also fitted a three-dimensional Suzuki emblem and a dedicated Special Edition badge on the fuel tank, along with a single-seat cowl and an anodised finish on the mufflers and heat guard.
Three New Colours For The Standard Bike
The regular Hayabusa isn't left out. It now comes in three fresh dual-tone combinations: Gloss Sparkle Black with Candy Daring Red accents, Metallic Galaxy Grey with Candy Burnt Gold accents, and Pearl Brilliant White with Pearl Vigor Blue accents. That gives buyers genuinely more choice than before, without needing to pay the Special Edition's premium.
A Lighter Battery, Not A New Engine
Here's the one piece of this update that goes beyond paint and badges. Both the Special Edition and the updated standard model get a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which Suzuki says is more compact, weighs less, and delivers improved voltage stability under load. Suzuki has also revised the software for launch control and the power mode selector, and reworked cruise control so it stays engaged through clutchless gear shifts instead of disengaging.
The engine itself is completely unchanged. Both versions continue with the familiar 1,340cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled inline-four, still India's most popular superbike by sales.
Worth Knowing Before You Book
One detail buyers should be aware of: Suzuki has already revealed a newer 2027 Special Edition internationally, finished in Pearl Brilliant White with grey highlights. That version has not launched in India yet — the bike on sale here is the 2026 Special Edition in Pearl Vigor Blue.
Where It Sits
Both versions are now available across Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships nationwide, alongside Suzuki Genuine Accessories and dedicated Hayabusa riding apparel. With no mechanical changes on offer, this update is squarely about giving existing and prospective Hayabusa buyers more visual choice and modest electronic refinement, not a reason to expect different performance from the bike.
