Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the 2026 Glanza facelift in India at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, starting price) on October 14. The hatchback is the Toyota-badged sibling of the Maruti Baleno and carries nearly the same changes, including a new engine, a longer feature list and the option of an automatic gearbox with CNG.
Prices
The Glanza now comes in five trims: E, S, G, V and V (O). The starting price of each trim is Rs 6.99 lakh, Rs 7.71 lakh, Rs 8.73 lakh, Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 10.49 lakh. The old base price was Rs 6.73 lakh, so the entry price rises by Rs 26,000. The full price list below is as reported by Autocar India (ex-showroom, Rs lakh):

Bookings are open at Rs 11,000, and the same outlet reports that deliveries begin in the first week of November. Toyota's official price sheet is the final reference.
The New Engine
The older four-cylinder petrol engine gives way to Maruti's 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E unit. The figures reported for the new setup:
- Petrol: about 83hp and 112Nm, with a five-speed manual or AMT. The old engine made 89hp and 113Nm, according to Gaadiwaadi, so the new one gives up a little power.
- CNG: about 70hp and 102Nm, with a five-speed manual or a new AMT.
- Claimed efficiency: 23.80 kpl (petrol MT), 24.77 kpl (petrol AMT), 33.61 km/kg (CNG MT) and 34.47 km/kg (CNG AMT). These are manufacturer figures, and real-world numbers will be lower.
Design and Features
The front gets a larger grille, redesigned LED fog lamps and a repositioned Toyota logo, and the car adds a shark-fin antenna. Two colours are new: Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black. The 16-inch alloys, side profile and rear stay as before, and the car measures 3,990mm in length with a 2,520mm wheelbase.
Inside, the additions are ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a wireless charger with a cooling vent, a four-speaker Clarion sound system and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The 9-inch touchscreen, head-up display, 360-degree camera and six airbags continue. Two outlets we checked say Level-2 ADAS, with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist, is limited to the V (O) trim. Reports differ on the car's height (1,500mm or 1,530mm), so we are not quoting it.
How It Stacks Up
The rivals are the Baleno (Rs 5.99 to 9.99 lakh), the Hyundai i20 (from Rs 6 lakh) and the Tata Altroz (Rs 6 to 10.90 lakh), all as quoted at launch coverage. The Glanza now sits at the pricier end of that group, because its top trim reaches Rs 10.98 lakh.
Why It Matters
An AMT with CNG is a useful option for city drivers who want low running costs without a clutch. The trade-off is that CNG tanks eat into boot space, and Toyota has not published a boot figure for that version. Buyers should compare the Glanza and Baleno trim by trim, since the cars share most hardware and the difference often comes down to price and service network. See the range on Toyota India's website.
